Christina's teaching is grounded in anusara yoga's universal principals of alignment, and is flavored by her past studies in mysore-style ashtanga, pranayama, and body-centered psychotherapy. Her approach is mindful and deep, nurturing the body's wisdom and cultivating alignment and breath to support the journey. She guides students through moderately-paced flow and lots of longer holds in which we pay detailed attention to the alignment of our physical structure as a means to explore our energetic and emotional bodies. Her teachers have included Sianna Sherman, Maritza, John Friend, Andrew Eppler and Sri K Pattabhi Jois, with whom she studied in Mysore, India.

Christina also has a thriving private yoga instruction practice helping students to design home routines, deal with specific physical challenges or understand how to integrate insights on the mat into every day life (www.christinaforth.com). In addition, she is a practicing life and business coach, specializing in guiding others to personal and professional satisfaction, balance and success (www.christinaforthcoaching.com).

Simply put, after over a decade of study and practice, Christina believes that yoga is fundamentally about remembering our own inherent wholeness. For her, yoga is an evocative practice in which each shape, each breath, each moment of mindfulness, evokes and reveals parts of ourselves we may have forgotten, ignored, or not yet even met. Through connecting with and eventually integrating all our parts, we open to a fuller more engaged life off the mat.
